The success story of Rotary Lift’s began in 1924. Inspired by the actions of a barbers chair, company founder Peter Lunati developed the world’s first hydraulic vehicle lift. The lift was rotatable. This not only allowed vehicles to drive forward onto the lift. In the same direction, the lift could also be left again – an important argument in the then frequently encountered problem of reversing. The patent for the lift was granted on September 1, 1925, and Rotary Lift was founded.
