We’re looking for a bright, enthusiastic PHP Developer with a flair for HTML and JavaScript to join our growing in-house development team. Whether you're a recent graduate or have some early career experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on projects that matter.

Your day-to-day work will span a variety of exciting in-house digital projects, including:

• Developing and enhancing our suite of internal and customer-facing web applications, designed to streamline operations, improve user experience, and drive innovation across the business
• Continuously evolving our main e-commerce site, adding new functionality and features to support both customer engagement and internal processes
• Working closely with stakeholders across the business to solve real-world problems with creative technical solutions

ABOUT THE ROLE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Installing a wide range of Hunter Engineering equipment, including:
• Tyre changers
• Roadforce wheel balancers
• HawkEye wheel alignment systems
• Other Hunter Engineering products
• Installing Everard Vehicle Drive-Through Inspection Tunnels
• Removing and safely disposing of old equipment
• Carrying out electrical connections (single and three-phase)
• Providing on-site training and demonstrations for technicians following installation
• Travelling UK-wide, with regular overnight stays (typically 2–3 nights per week)

What You’ll Need:

• Proven experience with garage/workshop equipment installation, or a strong automotive background with detailed knowledge of tyre and wheel service equipment
• Good electrical knowledge, including single-phase and three-phase connections
• Confident in delivering hands-on training to end users
• C1 category licence is ideal but not essential — we will support the right person in gaining this
• Flexibility for frequent UK-wide travel and regular overnight stays

NOTE THAT THIS ROLE INVARIABLY INVOLVES BEING AWAY FROM HOME 3 NIGHTS PER WEEK, EVERY WEEK at various client sites throughout the UK.

ABOUT THE ROLE

What you’ll be doing

• Calibrating and maintaining small tools including torque wrenches, gauges, micrometers and electronic measuring equipment
• Verifying tools meet industry standards
• Diagnosing calibration faults and carrying out corrective work
• Auditing and inspecting tools on-site with clients
• Keeping clear records and calibration certification
• Supporting wider engineering and service teams across the UK
• Always maintaining high health & safety and quality assurance standards

What we’re looking for

• Experience in small tool calibration (ideally in automotive or manufacturing)
• Attention to detail and a methodical, problem-solving approach
• Comfortable using calibration software and IT systems
• A team player with solid communication skills
• Willingness to travel and work on-site when needed
