Starting as a one man company, John Everard identified a need for garage equipment repair.

Fixing equipment in garages around East Yorkshire, John founded Everquip, combining the family name Everard, and equipment.

Traction in the company led to growth in staffing, including family members, and building more specialised areas of expertise.

Following the success of Everquip, John Everard established JD Garage Equipment the company, laying the foundation for its future in the garage equipment industry.

With a similar aim to Everquip, the focus was on the supply and maintenance of commercial garage equipment, but with his two sons, Nick and James.

Sacrificing the love of their motorsport competition to concentrate on furthering the business, marking a new era of leadership and growth.

Nick and James begin their journey as directors in the company, and so began the latter foundation of the company.

Using the experience and knowledge gained, and aiming high.

Gaining momentum, the first major installation showed how much the company had grown from servicing and selling used equipment, to designing and arming a main dealer's workshop.

Formerly known as Alan Day in Coulsdon (now Marshall group) was the first of many.

In 2015 we completed our first installation for Penske Sytner, a major player in the dealership network, underscoring our industry leadership. Sytner was and still is a revered name, this was a defining moment for the company.

Supplying and maintaining vital equipment for the dealership's servicing department, and cementing the future of the company.

Going from strength to strength, the original building became too small for operations to continue.

Mission control 2.0 was designed and built to specification, relocating the business to a new 20,000 sq. ft. facility to support expansion.

Infatuated with innovation, JDGE became the UK’s largest independent garage equipment company, a huge achievement.

The desire for the family name to reflect John, Nick and James came around.

Rebranding to "Everard," strengthening brand identity.

A new digital system, designed to reduce frustrations with equipment maintenance and tracking.

With equipment utilising an Everard QR code, Garages could now scan to streamline morning routines, view the status of all our their equipment, and organising repairs became easier than ever.

With more equipment to service than ever before, it was important to keep ontop of the maintenance for all of our customers.

Providing innovative solutions for workshops, Everard group become official distribution partners for Hunter Engineering, being able to strengthen product range further.

Hunter Engineering continually set the standard for wheel alignment around the world, allowing Everard to strive to be leaders in the industry.

Continuous growth only means one thing - It's time to expand!

A larger home for our-ever-growing team. More space means more stock, ensuring we can support our clients even faster. Even as we grow, we remain committed to the values that started it all - a close knit and family-run business that puts customers first.

The works are underway, set to gain 18,000 sq ft, bringing us to whopping 38,000 sq ft!
