MOT Lifts
Full platform-style car lifts, with turn plates fitted into the dais to allow free turning of front wheels and with, if required, hydraulic play detectors for single operator testing. Makes and models suitable for carrying out MOTs in the UK are listed on the GEA and UK.GOV websites. They can be recessed or surface mounted and incorporate a version for class IV and for class VII.
We also provide ATL lifts, which are is a solid investment to boost productivity and profitability in your workshop. It is a completely modernised automated test lane that enables a full MOT to be carried out by one mechanic, rather than the two required in a standard MOT bay.
Garage Jacking Beams
Perfect addition to any platform style lift or pit. Enables a complete axle to be lifted high enough for the wheels to clear the platform. Essential for every workshop conducting MOT testing in the UK. Our jacking beams are safe as they have hose burst valves and pressure relief valves prevent overloading, along with finger guards to comply with European machinery directive/CE marking. Each jack comes with lifting blocks as well as rubber-topped screw pads and aluminium blocks that will allow you to lift any vehicle. This is all backed up by a massive five year warranty for extra peace of mind.
Exhaust Smoke and Gas Analysers
We offer a number of gas testers and emission testers. Commonly a combined calibrated computerised system used to check the emissions from petrol and diesel cars to ensure they remain within the acceptable parameters to operate on roads in the UK. MOT testers can easily read results from a distance.
Brake Testers
Whether you’re looking for an MOT brake tester for class 4 / 7 testing, a motorcycle brake tester or a commercial vehicle (ATF) brake tester, Everard has a solution for you.
Brake Testing Equipment can have a built-in weighing facility to calculate the braking efficiencies required, based on the weight of the vehicle. The roller surface offers tyre protection, whilst providing a coefficient similar to the road surface. Motorcycle adaptor option for class I and II available. Motorised rollers recessed into the workshop floor records the brake force resistance and allow the tester to ascertain if braking systems are working within the required tolerances.
Garage Pits and Equipment
Garage and inspection pits are a rectangular recess in the floor where vehicle wheels straddle either side and the tester or mechanic can access the underside of the vehicle.
These can be complemented with a pit jack or heavy-duty jacking beam to allow wheel free work to be conducted. They are commonly used when ceiling heights are reduced.
ATF Lanes
An ATF Lane tests heavy goods vehicles, trailers and public service vehicles (such as buses) to ensure they are roadworthy and conform to environmental and safety standards. We provide a variety of workshop and garage equipment for furnishing the best in authorised testing facility support.
CCTV
Closed-circuit television is used to allow customers to view the workshop or service centre from the comfort of a remote viewing area. Pioneering dealerships also take advantage of CCTV to replace standard convex mirrors to carry out light vehicle checks and broadcast findings to the customer in the waiting area.
Accessories and Signage
Ancillary equipment, such as signs and tool shadow boards, are essential for MOT lanes. Our range includes many items, such as decelerometers used as a back up to continue MOT testing in the event of a brake tester failure.
